| Getting excited... I've been told my Bravo will be with the dealer by the end of the month (so I guess that means tomorrow!) I have the reg number already, got my new alloys waiting to go on and today I've ordered the bits for the armrest... Still not got a collection date though - sounds like he's got a shed load of cars coming for the 08 plate so will be flat out with PDI's etc...

| Wish I had sports seats | Re: Getting excited... I'm collecting mine tomorrow (1st March) and am also excited. It was only a 2 week wait (I could have collected sooner but wanted an 08 plate). Still, 2 weeks is long enough choosing which songs to put on my 4Gb USB stick!

| Re: Getting excited... I'll be waiting for the real sport version hopefully coming out in 2010. The Fiat Bravo Abarth, should have approx 200BHP as standard. I think 150BHP is not enough for such a car, however im jealous of you all for now regardless of engine.

It is more than powerful enough for me anyway.

| Re: Getting excited... I agree, it is plenty, but I can't help wondering about a chip for general smoothness and economy. My TDCi mondeo feels much smoother though the rev range and delivers a consistent 4-5 mpg more with its chip installed... Unchipped the fiat is faster than the chipped Mondeo, so I'm not looking for more performance, but still ![]() The only trouble is the only two chips I've found for the 150 multijet deliver BIG power gains - one takes it to 195 bhp and the other to 206!!!! You've gotta wonder about the effect on engine life if you use that power regularly.

| Wish I had sports seats | Re: Getting excited... I just collected mine. Nice to be one of the first with a 08 plate. I must admit I'm a bit disappointed. ![]() I'm not keen on the shade of red, I realise it always looks different in brochures and on computer monitors, but wish I went for the darker red. It looks weird without a tailpipe and the black plastic showing at the back reminds me of a Ford Ka. It ought to match the body colour. It badly needs a rear spoiler, skirts, plus sports seats to hold my ass in place! The chrome door handles and trim makes it look like something my dad would like(!) and I just noticed a scratch in the paintwork. ![]() In retrospect I should have gone for the Sport instead of the Dynamic and paid extra for dual zone climate control, e/rear windows and central arm rest which was what I liked about the Dynamic. Ha-ha! Can't win them all! ![]() It drives nicely which is the main thing. 120bhp is plenty, any more than that and you'll pay for the mpg and CO2 (which is partly why I sold my previous car). Now I have to save up for a spoiler and skirt. Anyone want to swap their red door handles for my chrome ones?

| Re: Getting excited... That's a shame... I'm sure you'll grow to love it though. I was very nearly in your situation, but it was the interior that swung it for me - I just couldn't bear the thought of having a 'Technotweed' interior (WHO thought of that name!) The spec on the dynamic is tempting though... I had to add £1895 worth of options to mine to get the car I wanted...
