Re: any problems with your bravo

My car had to go back to lipscombs because the brake lights kept staying on,
It was an easy fix that was done very swiftly indeed!

The only other problems I have with my Bravo is I dont get time to drive it enough and I cant stop looking at it!

Re: any problems with your bravo

Only few minor faults now (apart from the Dealers incompetence - Bravo Delivered with only one rear door having Dark Tinted Windows as ordered, hatch and other rear door had clear glass, dealer tried to fob me off with all sorts, spray other wiindows, apply film, No chance I was accepting that!! Then wait weeks for Fiat to send replacement glass only to find that dealer cut out clear rear screen, the repalcement glass was a completely different tint).

1. Wind noise from Passenger side door - I think Its the rubber seals
2. Sound proofing from engine bay poor
3. Heating to drivers footwell poor
4. Turning/Driving lamps annoying - So I drive with them switched on to stop everyone telling me I have a bulb out
5. Paint seems to mark/scratch very easily - especially by the boot where a handle shoud be.
6. No Spare wheel - only a repair kit inc compressor
7. Radio/CD player packs up every couple of months, then afer 1/2 hr works fine

All minor defects really, covered 9000k now and enjoy driving the car just keeping my fingers crossed all performs well.

Re: any problems with your bravo

Just 2 minor things, one the front passenger door wind noise, diagnosed as window seals, which are on order.
The other is the Blue and me display isnt displaying tracks or phone details, they are looking at it when they fit the window seals

Re: any problems with your bravo

Rear squirter has popped off (due to frozen nozzle?) and I've a clunk in the steering that sounds like it's part of the indicator cancel system...

Still not a lot of problems really for nearly 12,000 miles of excellent driving!

Re: any problems with your bravo

Nearly 8000 miles in and still not a knock or clunk to be heard. The Bravo is running well and the engine is feeling stronger by the mile.
The daily blast around the ring road to work seems to be getting quicker and quicker - with in speed limit of course!

Apart from the front suspension the recall there has been no reason to go past a dealership. (well apart from going into nosey at a potential new set of wheels!)

An ECU remap is imminent, but torn between the Angel Tuning and the Celtic Tuning remaps. Any one had any experience of either???

Bru, don't remaps invalidate your warranty if you develop an engine related problem?

Re: any problems with your bravo

Use Angel tuning. End of story!!

The guy (Nige) is a legend. Came out to try and resolve an issue I was having with my Grande about 7 times for free and managed to ease the issue where Fiat failed. Coupled with the fact he's gonna do my Bravo for free due to the problems I had with my Grande (Even tho it had nothing to do with the map!) speaks volumes to me.

As for damaging your engine. Not at all. Unless your rag your engine everywhere due to the increased power!!! However its all down to driving style much the same as a standard engine.

Warranty wise I wouldnt worry. I know many people who have mapped there Fiats and not one has had a warranty claim voided. Even if Fiat spotted a map it would only show as a communications error on the testing screen. They would then just reset the ECU to standard. One call to Nige and your back in the game!! Oh and he does that for free toooo!

Re: any problems with your bravo

Just gone over 2000 miles now, still running fine if not better.
All recalls were done and fixed free of charge as they should of of course, wasnt anything that i had noticed that needed doing, i was informed by the dealership about the work needed to be done, and was given a courtesy car every time without even having to ask.
Bravo is now getting better by the day.
Just a note to say any one buying a 2008 version should not have to go back for any recall, this was only for some of the first batch to come out which my one was one of them.
Fantastic car i just love it

Wind noise from left side front door. Got new windows seals, and the wind noise is gone.

Re: any problems with your bravo

Gary F, Captain Chaos,

Thanks for you comments. I understand the re-map is invisible but you never know what's waiting to happen.
The car is running faultlessly at the moment but could always do with a little more urge.
I don't drive like an idiot but it's nice to know you have the power to get you out of "situations"

I blame the wife for not chooseing the 150 Mjet!

Decisions, decisions.

Thanks again guys.
