Mudguards

the weather has been absolutely crap over here so my dad went to get mudguards from Fiat. They gave him the rear ones for free but said they hadn't made front ones yet and didn't know if they would be made. Is this true? Has anyone gotten them? Same thing was said when he had a Stilo

Weathers been pretty miserable here too - don't think it's quite needed mud guards though!

Re: Mudguards

Bravo seems to kick up less spray than other cars. Don't think its got to the point of needing them.

Re: Mudguards

I think it is the older drivers that like to have mud flaps fitted, they see the long term benefits of keeping the under side of the sills clean.
If you are out driving and see a car with flaps, I'd bet if you get to see the driver he or she would have more than 1 wrinkle

I'd like to see what the Bravo looked like from the back with Fiat branded flaps though, any oldies here got a piccy?

Re: Mudguards

Just hose down the wheel arches each time you wash it. Never had problems with rust on the undersides.

Re: Mudguards

How about dirty trousers as you step out of the car after a drive in the rain ?

Re: Mudguards

Fiat seem to only do one for the rear so keeping the sills clean isn't a factor! They look the same as the Grande Punto ones! Mudguards are good when you live in the country during an Irish winter! I had mudguards on my Bravo but had to take them off when I got my Abarth kit...I wouldn't consider myself old...19..!

The back of mine is always filthy after a drive in the rain, especially at this time of year. I'd definitely consider them...

Re: Mudguards

Only rear ones available at the moment. I was after some front ones (like I had fitted to my Stilo) but in the end I just came away with a set of rears.
Don't understand why!

Do they make much difference to the amount of dirt thrown up onto the back of the car?

Cheeky git I've got mud flaps on MK 1 Bravo, but I've got them beacuse I think they suit the car they are the best deisigned mudflaps. They look as though they a part of the car, and no tjust stuck on.

In all fairness I think all cars should have them to reduce the spray when your on the motorway.
