Steel Winter Wheels

Anyone considering getting steel wheels to fit over winter? Are there any other cars with simillar size wheels that could be found in a scrap yard?

Will need at a minimum 15" and 4x100PCD, not sure of the offset.

I know the old ones are 4x98. I was just thinking about the 17"s on Ebay in the auction watch that said they were 4x98 on the new Bravos.

Re: Steel Winter Wheels

Hi,

Vauxhall, Honda, VW, Renault and Rover all have cars with a 4x100mm PCD. You will need to be careful with the centre bore and the off-set. You could get some very odd vibrations through the steering.

It seems odd for FIAT to go from 4x98 whitch they have had for years to 4x100. Mind you there are more vehicles out there with the 4x100 PCD

Good Luck!

Re: Steel Winter Wheels

Anyone figure this one out yet?

Just noticed in the pdf manual that you can't fit chains to 17's / 18's and my experience of modern summer tyres is they are a pig in the snow...

The manual describes the 17's as 7J x17ET 31 is the 31 the offset? Anyone figured out what the PCD is yet?

Would hate to have to buy a new set of wheels just to fit snow tyres (although I'm not too fond of the 17's the sport comes on as standard...)

Re: Steel Winter Wheels

PCD is definitely 4x98 and 31 is indeed the offset
