Bravo 1.6 idles high

I just bought underprice bravo mk1 1.6, which has idle problem. It idles high . When starting revs hold 1500 and then when going out of parking place revs hold 2000 and it stays at 2000 at least 5minuts. When hot revs are from 1200 to 800. When I drive and press clutch and cut of throttle revs holds at 1200 mostly. Last owner has replaced new idle control valve and coolant temperature sensor. I also noticed that brake pedal is high and falls a little when revs fall to 800. I also clean butterfly valve and changed spark plugs and filters.
Is it injector fault or damaged ECU?? I also looked for air leak, but pipes are seen ok. Is there any special way to check for a leak?

Re: Bravo 1.6 idles high

you really need to check very carefully for a leak on the intake including the intake manifold.

the brake pedal behaviour is not unusual and caused by the change in vacuum that the brake servo is experiencing while the idle is erratic.

i doubt it is an injector fault, but you can do a quick test to measure their resistances using the wiring connector at the right hand end of the fuel rail. centre pin is earth, other 4 pins are for the injectors. each injector should have approx 16ohms, any with less than 13ohms i would replace.

Re: Bravo 1.6 idles high

unfortunately i did not find any leaks. I listened engine carefully, too. I noticed sound from MAP sensor when revs goes higher, so more air must be in. If it iss't leak, ECU in opening idle valve. I noticed that the car has most problems with temp around 20 degrees C. Now in cold weather car starts at 1500rpm and stalling first 15second (if i press throttle more it ussualy helps). Than it runs quite ok but after 1min (i assume temp. is around 20-25) stalling again. Its tricky problem because coolant sensor is new. Is it then air temp. sensor?? Is is possible that hose for MAP sensor is stuck and dirt mobilize when gettnig hot?
