If i get a set of lockwood dials for my fiat brava (the only ones they do are for the bravo but I presume they will fit).

will the colour of the lights change if i change the dials??

is changing the dials a hard job?

Re: lockwood dials

All depends on the model.

Lockwood only do them for the MkI with the analogue milometer. If you have a MkII like me your stuffed.

However, I jave recently found these little beauties in Austria

Re: lockwood dials

Check the dials you have got. I fear they maybe for a mkI and will not fit. Check the are for the milometer, thats the easiest way.

As for the dials above - thay aren't mine. They are from the austrian site who I' awaiting a reply from. If you notice the speed is in km/h and not mp/h.

I'm looking to get the boo logo on there as well rather than the abarth logo. Should look sweet if it can be done but still awaiting their reply.

As for the bulbs in the back - theyre white. On the back of your existing clocks is a green film which gives the speedo the green look. Swapping over to blue bulbs will make no difference. You need clocks with the blue film on the back.

Here's another set of clocks for the bravo/a

This is the site you can get them from. I hope your German is better than mine! http://www.tuningart.at/shop/index.html

I will post when I get a reply

They arent

The above pics isnt my car. I still have standard black ones but a respray is in mins as well as the centre console. I would stay clear of those sticker sets. I have seen a few on the bravo's and they are of piss poor quality.

I would go for spraying. Take dash out, fully clean and prep, use a few good coats of plastic primer, a couple of coats of the colour you want then a few coats of laquer

Or you could go for doing the full lot!

Re: lockwood dials

I converted my original black fiat dials to blue. All it'll cost you to do is the price of some blue plastic film (Not sure where to get it from- some sort of art shop?)

I took out my dials, removed the needles (That's a lie, I cut my dials carefully to lift them over the needles, but I since found out you can pull the needles off! D'oh!) undid the actual dials themselves, then scraped the green backing off with a stanley blade. Then just stick blue plastic film on the back (Or any other colour I guess!) and reassemble! Looks great! (Plus the needles are still bright red- if you were to use blue bulbs you kinda lose your needle colour!)

Mine's a MKI but I'm sure the MKIIs are no different to do.

I do know though that this doesn't work if you want to convert lockwood dials! I ruined a perfectly good set trying to scrape the green off!

Actually my Bro and I are working on possibly making sets of dials to sell, Watch this space!!
