| Re: remove baffles on savage back box?
If so then I believe it is almost impossible to get any significant noise out of the exhaust. Something to do with the low pressure output fro diesels engines. I was advised it would be a waste of money trying to get any sorta loud noise out my diesel when I had it. Any exhaust fitted to the back would only be for cosmetic gains. I may be wrong though but at the time my local powerflow centre told me not to waste my money and just buy an exhaust tip as it would do the same job.

| blessed are the apostates | Re: remove baffles on savage back box? i've made a few diesels loud, for example 306 TDs sound ace with a rage backbox (if you like that kind of thing). we once made a naturally aspirated 205 diesel sound great too. exhaust noise comes from resonance, which is easily created by a big bore exhaust, but any baffles inside will greatly reduce noise. you must has a compeltely baffle free exhaust, technially thats illegal for road use, but on a diesel it wont be so loud that you get in trouble or fail an MOT. when you look inside you need to see flat walls, if you see anything like in the following pic then it wont be loud. | ||
