coilovers?

are there such a thing for the bravo? i havent seemed to find any. with the new wheels she needs to be lower tbh to keep in with the whole euro look.
shes down 40 atm, but i want 60 or coilies. i cant seem to find 60 drops either for the 1.2! am i also correct in thinking im gonna need shortened shocks too to handle the bigger drop, shes on the standard shocks atm with the 40mm i believe

Re: coilovers?

they 165/50/15.. they got a MEGA stretch on em... the handling is not what it used to be! soon as funds allow.. they are coming straight off for a much smaller stretch!

Re: coilovers?

they 15;s

they 7j.. the stretch bit is the 165.. the walls are stretched. 195's or 185's are more of a flush fit so you can imagine the stretch on 165s

Re: coilovers?

The wider tyres will also fill the arches better You could go upto 215/225s on 7inch rims. Buy the tyres first and then see if it needs lowering (then check clearance with new tyres and by how much).

Re: coilovers?

a 60mm drop would be a big mistake imo. it'll ruin the handling, increase camber so much that your tyres wear on the inside, give a really uncomfortable ride, make the skirts and bumpers catch more easily on speed bumps and kurbs, wear the wishbones and drop links much more quickly, its a bad idea no matter how you look at it. for a track i'd say go for it, for road use you'd have to be barking mad.

this is a fine example of why stretched tyres are daft. it looks very wrong, thats before you even consider the loss of grip and tyre life. sort it out ffs!!

i had 15's with 195/50/15 tyres and lowered 45mm on my bravo, yet my arches didnt look like you could fit your head in the gap. do it properly and it'll look right:

you still dont know what a spigot ring is for do you
it locates the wheel on the hub to make it easier to fit, nothing else.
unless you have wobbly bolts there is no way a wheel can be off centre, but if you do have wobbly bolts then spigot rings are needed. no matter what bolts you use the spigot rings do not take any load, that is a well known fact despite the general ignorace among boyracers. dont take my word for it, do some research.
