hey guys

just wondering whether changing the material on the doors was a home job or a garage job? i'm not really sure as i've not done it before :)

Quite a few posts to browse. There seems to be some glues which dont react well to heat and seep through, read the posts and find out which, you can trim over yout old material or strip them out and do it that way.

You can do a hommer if you feel confident, and a pro job if not. Door cards are cheap enough if you mess up, especially the SX ones! lol!

if i get bored i think i'm going to get some darker mk2 door cards (and rear door cards if you can call them that on a bravo) and try to fit my current material to the darker plastics. that would finish my 2 tone interior plastics off perfectly.

actually the more i think about it the more i want to do it.

JUG just buy a MK2 it'll be easier. LOL. :)

i've been looking for one for months. if a decent mk2 HLX or HGT in heraldic blue pops up i'll definately buy it. but finding one thats as good or better than mine is very hard. it took me months to find mine. i'm a fussy git.

although i havent really been looking for the last few weeks. i made the big mistake of sitting in a 147. that hurt a lot. once i got over the initial shock of just how similar a 147 is to a bravo, i realised how much better it is too. all that really put me off is alfas break more than fiats, and cost more to fix, and parts are harder to get. is it worth the risk? i cant decide. i hope a decent bravo comes along before i find an affordable 147.

nice job well done (y)

once you get the bucket seats in you'll no doubt be wanting to make the back seats black as well. dont try dye, i did once, and it was a complete disaster

although if you could remove the seat cover material you could in theory use dylon in your washing machine. i was going to try that next but the seats i was doing at the time did not have removable covers so i gave up. i dont know if bravo seat covers are removable?

haha im not gonna try a tie dye thingy my uncles a retrimmer by trade so ill get him to do the rear seats in black aswell but for now im still waiting on the seats

P.S. even though uncle is a retrimmer i did it all by myself with no help :) so its easy hehe
