I haven't been on here for sooooo long as fortunately, when I had it, my Bravo didn't have any problems (appart from the b***ard alarm!). I have since passed the car on to my dad and I now drive a Golf (booo, hisss I hear you say!).

Within the last few days the Bravo's battery ran down (crazy head-unit issues!) and after jump starting it, it was idleing VERY eratically so I cleaned the throttlebody butterfly and checked the sensor plugs etc. Managed to get it running normally but had the ominous injector light intermittently showing up coupled with sivere poor performance.
After taking it to my usual garage to accurately diagnose to problem, I was faced with the potential cost of £300 to fix the two faulty injectors (£100each and £100 labour). This extra cost could not have come at a worse time, and I was adamant I would find a way round it.
Then I thought it was worth a look on here to see if anyone else had the same problems......

After reading the numerous threads about 1.6 injectors and the relentless help and guidence 'Jug' has given, I am relieved and confident that a trip to my local scrappy and half an hour or so will see the Bravo back to full health.

Without the sometimes step-by-step guide Jug has given people, found through the SEARCH facility on this site (prehaps people should learn to use this more!), I would quite possibly have been £300 worse off!

My hat is well and truely off sir, THANK-YOU!

I appologise for the long windedness of this post, I though I'd make up for not visiting for so long and Jug's efforts warrant it.

careful you'll make my head swell :)

its great to see someone else using the search facility. it makes a change (y)

enjoy your golf, if you fancy a swap let me know :D

Search facility, whats that then  ;)

Seeing as it's be nice to Jug day I think I should add that his time effort in writing detailed step by step guides for people needing help is spot on. (y)

hmmm we dont do medals, we will give him a bit of cake, if he behaves untill the next meet ;)
I agree 100%! When Jug was off over christmas the posts must have halved lol. Kudos on all the help you give Jug, you da man! ;)

Unless he has a Bravo! lol:p

he has a mondeo that he asked me to inspect and test drive before he agreed to buy it. and since he bought it i've had to fix his glove box, the stereo and the sunglasses holder. he wants me to install some screens, a dvd player and a ps2 for his kids. i havent quoted yet but i think i'll ask for 2 days holiday :D

Yes I agree Jug actually deserves some sort of credit, be it a medal, financial reward or otherwise, he really deserves it.

I think we can definitely find some cake for you at the next meet you attend :D I know I've thanked you in private in the past but I'll say it again as I haven't for a while - thank you :) And that goes to EVERYONE who gives out help and advice, we would be nothing without you all
