[8D] HAS ANYONE ANY ADVICE ON FITTING AN ALTERNATOR ON MY FIAT BRAVO 1.8 HLX 16V (1996).COULD THE FAULTY ALTERNATOR BE THE REASON WHY C/D RADIO SYSTEM WILL NOT WOR? ONE OTHER PROBLEM IS THE FRONT WINDSCREEN WASHER WILL NOT WORK THERE IS WATER IN IT. IT GOES WITHOUT SAYING THAT THE BACK WINDOW WIPER DOES NOT WORK LOOKING, AT THIS SITE THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM, I BOUGHT NEW FUSES BUT THEY ARE DIFFERENT FROM THE ONES ALREADY IN. THE SHOP INSISTS THEY ARE THE RIGHT ONES?

doubt if it's the alternator, if the car's still running ok, if the alternator was shagged the car would cut out all the time and the battery would run flat, as for the fuses - they are universal and as long as they fit and the ampage is the same they'll be ok, they might be made of a different material but should be the same shape and size. check the manual in case you are putting in fuses with too small a rating, this could cause them to blow. check your connections for the radio as there could be a loose live causing you problems
