| Fiat Brava Sudden loss of power Just to add to a previous post in which Polecat helped (thanks). I have a Fiat Brava 1.4 12v which intermitantly is losing power, this only seems to happen when accelerating (pulling away from a junction etc). There is a complete loss of power which is over very quickly and then the power returns it doesnt stall the engine its kind of like a splutter.

| Hi again, Not too sure about the 1.4 power pack, single point injection? Stutter on accelleration can be injector lag caused by a faulty fuel pressure regulator or it possibly could be a dirty injector. This could also be the cause of your misfire. Check for fuel in the vacuum line.

| Hi, I had a similar problem to yours, try changing the fuel filter, not in the engine compartment where you think it would be, under floor pan behind plastic cover, most people overlook this, and add some carb inj cleaner too fuel. worked for me.
