Looking for a few ideas and of course some information on mods for my R reg Fiat Bravo 1.8i HLX. It is the mint blue colour and already has 15" Fox Alloys.

I have a few mods in mind, main ones I can think of are a dual back box coversion, induction kit and lowered springs.

I am looking to do a few minor touches as well such as alluminium accessories in the cabin, seat covers, alfa romeo door handles, license plate surround, clear repeaters, white l.e.d. spot lights, white muscle stripes, M3 sports wing mirrors.

I am also looking to install a small turbo one day to bring out the best in the engine when i put my foot down, as at the moment there is a delay before the revs start to really tick.

Any information would be great, mainly looking for answers to the following:

Where can I get a dual exit exhaust for the Bravo 1.8? Will I have to mod it before I get a clean fit?

Is it true that you can't get the 1.8i's ECU remapped?

Does anyone know if there is a decent turbo for the 1.8 bravo?

How much should I pay for alfa 147 door handles?

Also any input on what is the best horses for money available?

Cheers

As far as i'm aware it isn't possible to remap the 1.8 ECU. Novitec did a turbo for the 1.8 but soon pulled it out of prodcution. It was more expensive than the car itself. If you car is slugglish try servicing it and possibly changing the MAF if its fitted with on. However if you fit a set of C&B fast road cams, full exhaust system and performance airfilter and have a piggy back ECU fitted and afew hours on the rolling road you can reach above 150BHP+. Cool HUH!

I have some clear frosted type side indicators you maybe interested in, i also have some chrome license plates and alfa door handles but they aren't for sale LOL.

My car is equipped with Angel Eye LED Foglights so can confirm they will fit and it isn't too much of a problem to install. I personally wouldn't put stripes on the car. M3 mirrors can look ok.

on mk1 you can rechip the ecu, on mk2 you can remap it. finding people who can do it is tricky, there's someone on this forum who ways they can do it. cant remember their username, think its oldschool?

a turbo is not a good idea, it would be cheaper to get an HGT in the long run, and the HGT would still be quicker.

if you buy a backbox specifically for the car it will fit straight on to the back of the cat, if you get a universal backbox then you need to cut your old backbox off and join the new one to the old pipe, then sort the mounting out. its still easy to do. i've never seen a twin exit backbox for the bravo so you may need to take the universal backbox option. or go to a powerflow franchise and get a full stainless system fitted while you wait.

alfa 147 handles will be tricky to find at a scrapyard but they only cost £10-20. i nearly bought some for £10 but i cant see the point, chrome is a bit tacky imo. if you buy elsewhere (ebay) it will cost more.

haha another person after my wheels! they're originally from a mk1 stilo, i think they were a fiat option because i havent seen them on another car ever.
