HELP. I HAVE A BRAVA ELX 1997. MY LIGHTS WILL NOT SWITCH FROM SIDE LIGHTS TO DIPPED/MAIN. ALSO IF I TRY TO USE MY WIPERS OR HEATER THEY AGAIN WONT WORK. IF I WIGGLE THE LIGHT ARM THEY START TO WORK BUT CAN GO OFF AGAIN WITHOUT WARNING.
I KNOW VERY LITTLE ABOUT ELECTRICS. CAN ANYONE GIVE ME SOME HELP?

THANK YOU. PATSY

hi,

Just had a similar problem . It appers ( judging by the amount of scrap yards I went to) that the bravos 2 biggest electrical faults is the rear wiper motor and the colum light switch.

they are pretty easy to change a a complete unit so I suggust you go and get one before your lights let you down for good. I live in Ireland and the colum swithcing unit cost me 50 euro. thats about 35 sterling.

be very careful when removing the airbag, particularly the airbag and horn clockspring, this is the round thing behind the steering wheel and will need to be removed to access the combination switch for lights/wipers. the wires are as fragile as they are important. make sure you disconnect the horn wires from the steering wheel before removing it.

Met Cognac 99 Brava 100 HSX, what do you want? cupholders? open door warning light? grow up!
