mine is a 1997 model 1.6SX. just trying my luck here if anyone has ever changed the lambda sensor before.

need to know the brand and correct part number as the dealer over here in Malaysia keeps telling me the sensors are similar to the ones fitted in the Coupe 20VT but looking at it the connecting socket is different! (n)

hope anyone of you guys out there can help me out here.

cheers!

Hi, what symtoms were you're car showing for you decide it needed the lambda sensor replacing. My 1.4 Brava has intermitant starting and we think it may be the lambda.

Dude, the injector warning light has appeared on the dash. A check using the diagnostic machine also shows lambda failure as the mileage has clocked 220000+kms. As far as I know, lambdas need to be replaced every 100000kms or so especially if you do not have a cat on.

Injector warning light will also appear when your TDC sensor has gone south on you. The symptom is that your car wont start but it will just crank. Sometimes it can start and able to drive but when you hit a pothole the engine will just die off. This is pretty dangerous. But I have a way to save money not to but new TDC sensor but this involves loads of patience to rebuild the sensor.
