Brava Flasher Relay

Hi guys,my mates Brava is having werid problems with his indicators,if he puts them on instead of flashing the orange lights just light up and stay on,same with hazard lights too,so we pulled the flasher unit from the glovebox, didnt really do anything with it,and put it back in and bingo!,it worked, but 2 days later it had gone back to just staying on!

so my question is...is it the actual relay that is goosed,or does it sound like a loose wire after the relay?
contacted fiat dealer and he was going on about some really silly prices!

any help would be great guys!

cheers in advance!

p.s. also are the flasher relays all the same across the range,ie punto, cing, etc?

cheers again!

Re: Brava Flasher Relay

it sounds like a relay problem to me, because it would have to be a strange wiring fault to keep the relay open. go to a scrapyard and take a relay off any bravo brava or marea. should cost £1-2.

Re: Brava Flasher Relay

dont know, but you can simply remove the old relay and make a note of the relay map on the top of it (or take it with you), most relays are the same. the relay from a mercedes or skoda or anything would probably be the same, or at least fit and do the same job.

i only said bravo brava or marea because i know its the exact same relay because they're basically the same car.
