| revving issues i have got a 1.2 sx bravo on a w plate. On starting the car the revs are very erratic hitting 2000 revs gradually going down to 900ish.is this high? also when driving the car revs are very high hitting 3000 slowly dropping down when the car is at a stand still. When driving along and changing gear at slow revs the revs ramp up to 3000 until the gear is selected.I had an auto electrician look at this problen and he found no faults except he had to reset the revs or something like that. The car run fine for 4 months now i have the same problem any advice would be greatly appreciated .

| blessed are the apostates | Re: revving issues try disconnecting the throttle position sensor, if that changes the idle you need to get the TPS reprogrammed (probably what happened 4 months ago). failing that clean the idle speed control valve also try disconnecting the mass airflow sensor, if that has an effect change it with a scrapyard one. i think its the TPS, seen this on the 1.2 more than once now. | ||
