Technical Problem with engine coolant What is paraflu? Please help!

Hi, i had those exact same sympotms on my car, i managed to find that annoying screw today and bleed the system successfully (hopefully) and i am going to wait and see if the problem has resolved itself. My engine temperature seems fine and stable the only problem i have is when i fill the resevoir full of water it usually dissapears within a couple of days. Im working on a leak and i was wondering if it was normal when bleeding the system for bubbley water to come out of the pipe? Many thanks

Oh they then went on to give her a quote of £718 for the job. Incidentally a price very similar to mine last year, suggesting for sure that my head wasn't checked/skimmed.

i stuggle to understand why people go to dealers and pay these prices. at a local place where i live £250 would have done the lot, and it would have been done properly. for way less than £700 you could have a new engine fully fitted and serviced with warranty done at a top place. why why why do people let dealers bend them over.

please tell her to get quotes from local independant garages. i lose sleep when i think about people paying that much for a head gasket failure.

Bubbly as in 'fizzy' looking? H/gasket bud! Water goes after a couple of days....that volume would alert you to a leak by coolant on the floor. If its not losing visibly or that you can see when sat idleing, I'm afraid you'd better have a butchers at your plugs. Any water on the thread or electrode and you've got a busted H/gasket.Dont wanna worry you but its still all fresh in my mind (and wallet!).

if a plug is wet its likely that the piston ring on that cylinder will have suffered. after miles of coolant in the cylinder the ring wears and the cylinder loses compression. it depends how big the leak into the cylinder is, if you have water coming through the exhaust its a bad sign. its worth checking because nothing is worse than doing it all again to replace a piston ring. after a head gasket repair i always do a compression test to make sure.

My Fiat 500L check engine light came on, I noticed the container that says PARAFU is empty. What do I need to buy it fill it, is it only available thru a dealership?
