Hi... Anyone know if the black trim up the side of the side windows & around the base of the wing mirrors etc can be cleaned up? Mine are looking a bit shoddy - kinda faded/whiteish...

Cheers

You need to use Smooth Peanut Butter, I know it sounds crazy :spin: but the oils in the peanut butter bring black trim up a treat.

pal i have the same problem the number of times ive used black colour restorere on it. you just have to keep at it every week or two and that way it always looks a lovely black.

anyone know how much it would be to replace the panels as that could work atreat. but eventually they will start to fade i suppose

autoglym plastic conditioner lasts for a couple of months, even when washing with warm soapy water. it costs more because its the best.

I use back to black after washing car. but have found that you make sure that the car plastic is completely dry, then spray it on wait a minute and wipe it off, then spray on again and leave it, it will dry, leaving a deep black, usually last between two to three weeks before weather makes it run again, but usually have washed car by then.

i've recently started to use carnauba wax on my plastics. after i accidentally got some on a mudflap i noticed it worked wonders, and it lasts months.

I use Autoglym bumper care(n) (Green silicon gel) but to be honest it doesn't last long and will come off as soon as you wash again.
I need to look at something else:confused:

i highly recommend this. works on tyres and on black plastic, stays on for months. only used it twice since september and thats with washing car once a week.
(but baby oil is cheaper)
