| i am | Re: question from a fiat forum newbie yes its possible.if its the same N/A version of the 1.4 then it would drop in easily. however you may need to do some new wiring. brakes are an easy upgrade as you can rob from the higher spec 20v models. suspension will need updgraded and a cistom exhaust will be needed to some greater or lesser degree. biggest problem is how much mr insurance is going to want for all this. also wouldnt it be easier to buy a 2.0l 20v model and mod that? | ||

| i am | Re: question from a fiat forum newbie you need to find out what the gt 1.4 is based on.if its your engine then it should drop in. personally i would always recommend getting the highest spec model in the range and using that for a base. if oyu want oomph then get a 2 litre 20v car and drop the coupe 20v turbo engine in | ||

| blessed are the apostates | Re: question from a fiat forum newbie the vin plate in the engine bay is usually a good place to start. i'm not sure how the fiat engine system works or what the family codes are. if we were talking fords i could tell you straight away which engines and gearboxes can be mated to which chassis, but im new to fiats so maybe someone else knows more? sorry | ||
