pewrson i know has a 1997 bravo 1.4sx which is very jerky and obviously has problems. took it to dealer who said they couldn't get the computer to read the ecu in the car cos the airbag light is on... is there a probable cause for this?

The airbag light is a completly different ecu, in a different place and would have nothing to do with the fuel injection. Even on diffrent fuses and earths.. Somebodys telling porkys

He probably had the reader plugged into the wrong port. Airbag could be a fault but could just as likely be a false warning, e.g. it will come on if it's dissed from the battery when you put the key into MAR.
