Afternoon all,

I posted a couple of weeks ago ("fuel injector - suprise") when I started getting a warning light for the fuel injectors on the dash. Having looked at the solutions that were posted and feeling better about not getting ripped off at the garage I eventually had to take the car in to get the emu read! The problem was an error on #2 injector - but the problem went away when the nice man reset the emu.

Unfortunately a week after having had the problem sorted it is now back again. I drove quite a bit last weekend, and no problems. The car sat on the drive for a week - you know, work, work, work, no time to drive :-( And then today when I came to driving injector light on and the engine sounds ruff - I guess that the second cylinder isn't firing? lots of tractor type noises and chugging.

So anyone got any ideas on this??? Is it time to invest in the new injector, and if so:

What are the make and model of the injectors for a 1996/7 Brava 1.6 Elx and where can i get some at a good price (in the post?) - web sites anyone knows?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Unless your doing it yourself changing just one injector is false economy because of the work involved & you can be assured another one or two injectors will go down shortly afterwards, not uncommon for another one to fail in a day or two.

Where to get them from? dealer!

i had the same problem, if u have a fuel filter change that that sorted mine straight away, after spending 100 quid on leads and plugs and temp switches. honestly try that

I had pretty much the same problem a couple of months back. Took it to a garage, after checking some things, they figured it would be the injector needing replaced, so had it changed for £90-including labour-and everything has been fine since.
And yeah, best to get it from a dealer...think it £40-50 or something from them..
