Technical fiat bravo hgt turbo

Technical fiat bravo hgt turbo

I'm converting a 147 hgt with a cabled throttle. It's not the lambda plug as lambda is plug in. I've drawn a little detail on a photo. Also a close up photo of the wiring colours on the 4pin plug. They appear to be BLACK, GREY/GREEN, GREY/BLUE AND GREY/RED going on the colour chart.

just to be clear I have never done or witnessed a turbo conversion in person. Im just trying to help with the information infront of me.

So it looks like the 4 way coupe connector is the '149D Front Cable/Fuel injection cable connection' you can buy these AMP connectors and pins new easily I have made them up before.

HV 141 - Grey / Green
N 29 - Black
HL 58 - Grey / Blue
HR 57 - Grey / red

I found a page in the coupe manual showing two of the pins are part of the CODE system.

Wire HV (Grey / Green) in connector 149D
goes from;
pin 6 on part 284 The code box
to;
pin 47 on part 141 the engine ECU

Wire N (Black) in connector 149D
goes from;
Pin 4 on part 284 The code box
to;
Common Ground

This page explains the part numbering and locations;

The next two pins are on even more blured pages :S Hope I got these 100% correct.

Wire HR (Grey/Red) in connector 149D
Goes from;
Part 57 - Oil Pressure sensor
to;
Oil Pressure guage on Dash

Wire HL (Grey / blue) in connector 149D
Goes from;
Part 58 - Engine Oil Temperature Sensor
to;
Engine Oil Temperature Guage on Dash

Have you traced through all the pins on both the 20pin Bravo and Coupe connector? there may be differences.

Hope this helps. I will try and confirm what the 2 way Bravo connector goes to. (probably code box as you alread said)

So by the look of it i can get a 4pin amp connector and connect grey/green to the pink and black to black that should link up the code system. then leave the oil temp and pressure blanked off in the plug. I will buy oil temp and pressure gauges for my pods but then i assume they will be wired in differently.

Ideal i'm glad we've came to a conclusion. Ive ordered the amp connector and just the 20pin to play with now :bang: . I was thinking of the coupes speedo but like you mentioned didnt know how hard to fit so i went for a triple pod on the a pillar a customized.

Really stuck now on the coupe 149B and bravos 55B plug! The 149B plug is something to do with the timing variator relay but dont no where to wiring it in to and the 55B plug is something to do with the vapour canister but also dont no where to wiring into! really need some help please!!

Not a problem. I do have the diagrams for coupe and bravo and I know what the wires are in both plugs but I'm just confused as I don't have the plugs on my loom to plug in the coupe 149B and and bravos 55B plug. The only wiring I used from the coupe was the loom from ecu to engine. The rest is from the bravo! Perhaps I've missed more parts Of the loom!

Has anyone had issues with trying to locate the ecu? Sames like the coupes loom is longer and now struggling to find a home for the ecu! Help will be appreciated!

Evening all, I'm now under going to plum in my oil pressure gauge and temperature gauge only problem is, is where to tap off from! Can I tap off the hex bolts on the oil filter housing?

oh I see! I've never installed oil pressure and temperature gauges before! I have autogauge gauges. There is a sensor on the sump but what it is I'm unaware.

Those look like 1/4 NTP, the oil pressure switch has bigger thread so you'd need an adapter.

The oil pressure gauge on my marea is on a 1/2 BSP plug with thread tapped into it (T-piece on oil line on filter relocation to the gearbox with bigger filter)
