Updated my CV today. ;)

Pain in the cheeks of a faff to do. The "O" ring that was supposed to be holding the old joint to the shaft had been replaced with you could have guessed it black silicone (Tiger Seal). The new unit didn't have a groove for the "O" ring to lock to so I had to take it apart and open one on my mates lathe using the old one was a guide. I also managed to split the bottom bearing boot. :bang:

While I was looking for a new bearing I found a pair of wishbones for £50.

Should be simple enough. :)

I was robbed. :(

No bidding activity for three days and the car was £155 with me the highest bidder then with three seconds to go some computer bid £200.01

This would have been perfect as I need to practice spraying red and it would have been cheaper that fixing my yellow one (at this rate).

Vehicle listings go up by £5 usually so I'm beginning to think there's an eBay app' out there because this one...

...sold for £300.01 with three seconds to go as well.

Cheating bastards! :bang:

That's why I try not to eBay cool old Fiats...I'd soon have a shedload of them and no space (or cash) to keep them. £200 for a good running Bravo is almost indecently cheap.

No longer for sale. The car is worthless without an MOT and only worth something to me with so as this is the last payday for the Living Wage wrecks havoc. Time to make a list and start getting the car MOT ready. :)

Viva la Revolution!

The wishbones arrived today. :)

The exhaust is due tomorrow or Thursday and I'm off over the weekend. With any luck the Audi A3 will be in it's new home by then and I can afford the tyres and test.

Back on the road in no time. :D

Good news then on your planned progress, be nice to get it rolling legitimately on some nice new rubber.

Just had my Manicat changed on my 1.2 Brava this morning for a decent Ebay / scrapyard one, the original was from 2001 and 155,000 miles so was on the limits of emissions at last December's MOT. I've now got 3 spare lambda sensors (2 are Bosch that I bought!).

Across the yard from my mechanic is a yellow Renault Megane cabrio under a tarp waiting for revival.. another cool 90s car that looks great in that particular colour...

Fairly nice morning with a few little showers while I worked on my mates truck. Now I have my Bravo on ramps it decides to sleet, hale and rain. :bang:

Lunch time then.

The new exhaust came with this split and clamp so you can fit it without taking the passenger side handbrake cable off. Unfortunately you have to so you can get the old system out so it's a nice idea and very welcomed; but futile. (y)

I was tempted to weld it but if I have to take the exhaust off at some point it will be handy.

All fitted and the car is running silent. There is no leak from the front at all. The sound from the front was due to the old system not being fitted properly. So I have a spare front section for later "Just in case". ;)
