Hi,

So I just installed an oil pressure guage in my 1.9td 75s and was wondering whether the readings are actually good or not. From a cold start (~10C) I get almost a 100psi (6.9bar) of oil pressure at idle and jumps up to 105 when revved. I usually keep revs under 2000 before the coolant temp. reaches 90C.
Once the engine is fully warmed up, idle oil pressure goes down to about 25psi (1.7 bar) and goes up to 105psi (7.2 bar) when revved up to 4400 rpm.

Are these readings normal? anything I should be careful for?

Current oil is selenia urania 15w-40 and oil is about 500 miles old.

This is what the manual says

Thanks and regards,

Cold pressures are not that important and high as oil does not flow easily.

Warm idle sounds littlebit low, but that is close enough with cheap meter.

I'm left thinking that it'll be a BIT lower,
as I suspect the cold idle is artificially high - 1250 rpm,

and the warm idle @ 900rpm

the pump isn't pushing as hard at warm idle, ;)

 the bypass within the oil filter may have an effect between temps too
