We had a 500L hire car when I visited Italy it was very very cramped in the back and the seatbelt buckles where utterly inaccessible with three people in the back. Every other car was a classic 90's era panda.

Looks like a spaceship! Always liked the styling... compare it to the massive ugly blobby trendy 500L that is supposed to do the same job...
 
Were you able to read the dash / speedo through the nice modern fashionable tiny steering wheel that Fiat's designers fitted to the car?

I agree about there being still lots of classic Pandas around certain parts of Italy... I had one once but when I see them in Italy they just look like a tinny functional little piece of equipment, which is what they were! I don't really see why the classic Panda mob on FiatForum get so enthusiastic about them!
