Hi,
im here again looking for your help guys. I had to replace the batteries of my one of the two blue keys. Now my key doesn't work and I lost the 4 digit access code for progamming it again, there is any workaround to get the key back to work? I already tried the simplified programming from the manual but it fails.

ODB2:

I found a thread on the forum about the ODB2 port (https://www.fiatforum.com/bravo-bra...cket-marea-jtd-bravo-gars2.html#content_start) but I cant find the port. Here's a photo, Am I searching in the wrong spot?

Thanks in advance guys.

Brava 1.4 12v 1997

Can't help with the key, but the port on my 2001 Bravo is up behind the plastic trim directly above the pedals

And 1.4 which has no OBD port.

3-pin in engine bay.

Remote for central locking?

Nope. I got one key by previous owner, who bought it to replace a broken one (the switch was dead so after repair I had 2 working remote keys and the new one). The "new" one was not paired and I did not have the code and could not program it into the car.
Hacking into the memory and removing the program lock could work but that is too much work for something you can add aftermarket kit to fix it.

Can you translate please?

Thank you for the info about obd port. Any suggestion for the key?

you ( Original Post):)

has a FIAT with the Driver on the LEFT HAND SIDE ( Pilote della Sinistra);)

I was meaning that the foot control pedals on a EURO spec Brava,

are NOT in the same position as a UK Bravo.. so the Fusebox / panel may not be in the same position also..,

as Neverth says older models are PRE-OBD, and have the basic 3-pin socket near engine

I do not know about the key.. maybe look at Punto Mk1 information:idea:

The fuse box it's in the same place of the UK cars, but as a "left drive car" it is located at the left of the car and not right. ;) here is a pic http://i.imgur.com/cuafAJO.jpg

As i thought there is no OBD port unfortunately but only 3 pin connector :(

For the key i'll try your suggestion and next week i'll call fiat center. Maybe with the vim number and the vehicle registration they can tell me the 4 digit code (if im lucky :D).

Thanks guys!

Hi guys,
finally i get my key back to work using another password attached on the other blue key and i used that code (for the procedure i used the Bravo-a_Service_Manual_Vol2) :)
But now, i don't know why, the car doesn't make any sound or lights when i open or close it.. Any hints?

They are connected to the factory alarm and it needs to be on for the lights. No factory alarm or it is off, only lock and unlock unless there are some modifications.

The alarm is on and I tried to switch it off and on again but nothing happend..

Did it work before?
You could always lock it and poke the car until the alarm trips to test if the alarm works at all.

Yes, i tried this trick. The alarm works but it makes a different sound and the lights doesn't blink.

EDIT= in the normal use of the car, the turn lights works fine!

And the key is not working again :(
Alarm still not working too

Merry Christmas :) :p

so what doesn't work now,
just the notification of ALARM set / disable..??

The alarm works but with a different sound and the the turn signal doesn't blink.

The key that I reprogrammed is not working.. but for now i want to fix only the alarm.
