Hey guys,

Just wanted to share this with you.

Yesterday afternoon, a hailstorm hit us exactly here I work while I was at work, it only lasted a couple of minutes, 10 at the most. Car got bashed like a golf ball, roof and bonnet are almost total loss (for me anyway, I have OCD for my baby bravo), mudguards, doors and boot are all damaged to a certain extent. Still trying to see if I manage to fix it or not on a decent budget.

We found ice balls about 3cm to 4cm in diameter, and it wasnt soft ice, it was the type of ice that would kill you if it hit you in the head...

FML...

Currently only third party fire and theft, at 20 years old and still a student, comprehensive was wayyy too expensive. I will probably upgrade it to comprehensive next year thought as its half the price I was offered last year.

Yesterday I had some time to go around my car carefully, damage is worse than I thought, there are 100's of dents on the bonnet and roof and a couple minor dents on the sides, but then again, I can still see the warped metal where there are no dents.

Those two plastic bars on the roof are also shattered to pieces :/

Will probably end up getting a new bonnet, and fixing the other places at a local shop which will cost me an arm and a leg probably, but I'm still calling different places to find the best price of them all.

I know your pain, we had a hail storm similar in June. My car still bears the battle scars although it sounds like I got off lightly. Local PDR place quoted 40 quid a dent, in other words a wheel barrow full of notes..

You are probably lucky it isn't fully comp as it'd be a write off, I decided to live with mine although as its white and there's only 2 on the bonnet and maybe 20 or so small impressions on the roof it's easier than what you have described. Seen a few get done in body shops, they seem to sand off all the paint , remove the glass fill and sand then repaint.
