So I recently got my hands on a new abarth front bumper (made out of fibre from an original mould), and was wondering if its a direct fit to all bravos?

one site said that the hgt is a bit wider than other bravos so this wouldn't fit on another car without modification... Also from my rough measurment the abarth bumper is about 5 cm wider but I could be wrong as I measured the original one still on the car

Depends on the design of bumper, there are two ABARTH front bumper

this one is a non HGT BUMPER


and this one is for the HGT

ohh ok must have misread somewhere, so I got the proper one will post some pics once fitted

I initially thought they were the same design, just different size so thats the confusion.

The top picture is actually a 1.9 td100

so how are they different exactly? just different mounting points???

Would the top bumper go on a HGT, what would need modding to make it fit if not - would love that bumper - the bottom one just looks crap to me, like some silly aftermarket disgusting bumper, don't think i have ever seen one before.

The bottom bumper is slightly wider to accommodate the wider wings
I have the top one and when fitted to my Marea it just fits by removing the foam bumper supports
In short one is for normal cars
And the other is slightly bigger to accommodate the HGT wings

well learn something new everyday - didn't know the hgt had wider wings. Anyhow, if i ever decide i do want abarth bits i will make the nonHGT one fit as it just looks a million times better

The HGT has long long thin units from the Maserati 3200gt
The normal bravo/a has short fat units
