The red lenses on the rear lights have been fogged up since I first purchased my 2001 Brava SX 1.2 and I have recently been looking into correcting this, without purchasing more lights, and was wondering if anyone here has had experience with this?

open the plastic cover from the inside, buy some silicone cat litter from the pet shop, put inside two socks, and put 1 sock inside each lense, close it and leave it for a couple of days. then remove them and put 2 of the small silica bags found with shoes and bags when bought new and leave them in there for good measure :)

Many thanks for the reply on this and will certainly keep it in mind should it be moisture related, however I believe this must be UV related. Please see the picture attached, it's like the plastic is fogged and not sure if it's on the inside or the outside. Apparently, there's a toothpaste fix for it, but as of this time, it isn't playing ball.

Any advice would be greatly received ImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1430404960.485646.jpg.

oh, excuse me, I completely misunderstood.

maybe try a polishing compound? I always polish ma bravo's taillights/headlights together with the car and never had any issues, thank fiat for making the front headlights made of glass not plastic :) they never turn yellow :)

I'll certainly thank them for that. I thing a bit of wet and dry working up from 1200 to 2000 seems to be a method with polish and a UV coating of sorts. Providing it's cheaper than £30 for new lights, it'll be fine!
