| Front Fogs Hi, My front fog lights have stopped working on my HGT. I dont know when as I have never used them since aI have had the car (except to make sure they work) Anyway here is what I know for definite: 1. Light on the switch does NOT light up. (how do you get these switches out?) 2. when you switch them on/off the relay clicks 3. There is no power at the lamp This may suggest a a problem between relay & light but I am not so sure. If it was then surely the fog lamp switch would show a light to indicate power? Anyway any suggestions greatly received.

| Whaddya mean too old? | Re: Front Fogs Have you checked the front fog light fuse? Checked for power across both sides of fuse? Checked the bulbs? I would guess you'd need headlights on before front fogs will work. (Don't know, haven't got an HGT with front fogs) Other than that you need to systematically check from one end where the power breaks in the circuit with a voltmeter. I'd go from the light units and work back. If you haven't used them for a long while it could simply be corrosion on the bulb contacts

| Re: Front Fogs cheers deckchair5 I have checked the fuses. I have had my headlights on when checking the lights too so unfortunately it isnt that simple! Bulb was checked in one of the lamps when I removed it to check if power was getting to it. by chance I dont suppose there is a wiring diagram anywhere to download, that would make it much easier to locate the wires once they exit the wiring loom as I think the colours change somewhere along the line. Thanks again.

Check actually for power on either side of the fuse If no power at the fog light bulb holder then check for in/out power of the foglight circuit at the foglight relay. You say the relay is clicking so the switch must be doing it's job so you just need power in and out to the foglight circuit at the relay If you HAVE got power at the bulb then check for bad earth Sorry, can't help with HGT wiring diag

| Re: Front Fogs Thanks again. You are right there was no power to the lamp holder. I have not checked the power either side of the fuse yet. I will also try a test at the relay. It wont be until the weekend now but will report back when I have done it. I was hoping that this was a common problem and there would be a quick definitive answer. Never mind and thanks for the help its appreciated.
