I am looking to do a full service in the coming weeks, and I have a query. Does the gearbox use the same oil from the engine? as I cannot find anything on manuals on how to drain/refill and what type of oil it takes so I'm assuming it uses the same oil feed.

I plan on changing the thermostat (it needs replacing)
Replace engine coolant
Replace engine oil and oil filter
Replace fuel filter

Car is a 1999 Bravo 1.9 TD SX

no the oil is not the same, under no circumstances put engine oil into the gearbox.
I'll get back to you after work when i have time to find the relevant info.

air and cabin filters may need changing too. when was the brake fluid last changed? it should be done ever 2 years. what are the brake pads and disks like, do they need changing? it would be easier to do at the same time while the car is off the road with the other work going on.

inbetween the draining and refilling coolant you should get a bottle of radiator cleaner detergent stuff, and run that through before refilling with the new coolant, it'll help clear out and caked on crud.

um that's all i can think of off the top of my head.

Ok so now that I'm sure that the oil is not the same, I'll have to keep looking for the correct info.

Car didn't come with a cabin filter as it is the non-ac version, and air filter was replaced with a k&n one last summer.

Brake disks and pads where all changed somewhere in the middle of last year so it must be all good.

I wish to replace the brake fluid but I don't have much experience bleeding brake lines so I'm kind of scared of doing it.

While I'm at it, should I replace the power steering fluid too? maybe remove as much as I can from the tank and replace it with new one?

Engine Oil = 4.5 - 5 Liters. SAE 15W/40 for diesel engine
Manual Gearbox Oil = 2 Liters. SAE 75W/80 or SAE 75W/90

Triple QX 75W90 Semi Synthetic Gear Oil 1 Litre (1L) API GL-5

I just did mine, 2 litres, make sure you clean the magnetic drain plug.
