Hey guys, where is the fuel filter on my 99 Brava 100SX 16V 1.6L manual?
Thanx.

Camon guys, I've been told that as of 99, the Bravas don't have a fuel filter, is it true?
Someone must know something about this.
Thanxall.

Can't imagine there being no fuel filter. Any fuel injected car would surely need one to avoid clogging the injectors. Can't tell you for sure about the Brava, but on the Coupe it's underneath, next to the fuel tank, underneath a plastic cover. Could be a similar situation with the Bravo.

If it has a fuel filter it will be located under a sheild just in front of the o/s/r wheel, under the car. Some of the later cars have returnless fuel systems, they have no return pipe to the tank and they do not have a fuel filter. The filter for these cars is built into the fuel pump in the fule tank.(Lifelong Filter)

I have just had a similar problem where the triangular clip came of the injector (at the front of the engine and has a black cap next to it as well) and the car was idle for about 6 weeks. I finally got a replacement clip, pinned it back on succesffully and now the injector light is on.

It does go off temporarily but i suspect the fuel filter is blocked. Do you think it is a blocked filter and is it really located near/in the petrol tank and is it easy to change?

yes it is easy 2 change and if u haqve 1 its located drivwers side rear wheel under a plastic cover, u may need some1 to help u jump the car of as it fillsd the new filter
