I was wondering how the Bravo/a handles high mileage. I know some cars, the Alfa 146 for example, suffer a bit of a mid-life crisis between 70k and 90k. With my 1.6 Brava approaching 67k I'm starting to think about what might need done. It has a full Fiat history, the belts were done at 55k and no expense has been spared in its maintainance. A couple of fiddly little things have had to be replaced recently, the window regulator in the rear passengers side window for example.

So, what sort of mileage is on your Bravo/a and how's it coping?

I only started to experience real difficulties after 100k. Most people I know the clurtch will go 1t around 72k and shortly followed by the starter motor. Apart from that - happy motoring

(121k 1.2!)

My bravo was 106k when I sold it.

No problems with it at all, the MOT before i sold it failed on the brake pipes and the also the handbrake ;) and it handled like it was still new. When i sold it (next door) the radiator did go but thats not bad after 106k the car hardly cost me a thing

102k Miles Bravo 1.2
2 clutch bearings
water pump
idle valve actuator
exhaust
two front flexi brake pipes perished
still on the original gearbox (must be the way you drive em Wimmy!) :)
That'll do me nicely!
Drives as good now as when I bought it. Nope, perhaps even better:)

My 1.4 bravo is at 102k still drives like new
it had a clutch at 82k
other then that just the ussual service parts you would expect would need doing is all
and yes its a 1.4 so fingers crossed all though it has a full service history and the oil has been flushed out and changed every 6 months since new which helps so i have found out from you guys

My Bravo HGT is on 105K.

Still runs like a charm. I havent had any problems with the engine.
Had a clutch change at 85k, But other than that only litle bits and pieces needed to be changed: For example,

Rear Wiper moter,
Brake pads
Indicator and wiper switches.

Other than that been smooth sailing all the way.

My Wife's 1997 Bravo 1.4 SX (Ink Black) is on 134,000 and runs and looks like a dream! It was a lease car until 90,000 miles, and as such had everything changed when it should have been. I'm looking to sell it (have put it on Ebay) as my wife needed a bigger car (we bought a Brava; 4 doors, bigger boot, same driving style, etc.), so does anyone know what I can expect for it? See Ebay Item number: 4576601451 for a complete description!
