Hi,

Just looking for advice. Recently the car is reving to 2000 or above when slowing down and about to come to a stop (when the clutch is pressed). This sometimes happens when the car is first started too. If i bring he clutch up half way whilst at a standstill the rev counter goes down to normal (around 1000). Any ideas what could be causing this?

could be the throttle position sensor that is sticking or faulty.

Try 3 washers between the stepper motor and the throttle body first.

What is the function of the three washers?
I put only two washer for screw but the problem persists...
After I put washers I had to reset stepper motor or not?

It's to distance the tb from the actual motor. In this picture there are 2 moving parts the gear and the disc. You need enough spacers to distance the point on the tb so that it interacts with the disc only, not the gear

Maybe I had understood...according to you why before to take away the stepper there wasn't longing of washers then after remounted they are needed?
I will try three instead two washers for screw, anyway, before to purchase a new tb+stepper...
