I pulled out some fuses to check they were OK - and one of them shut down the radio :bang: It now needs to have a code input to get it back working. So 2 questions:

1) How do you input the code? This is not as daft a question as it may seem - as due to damp the display is knackered...so I need to know the keys to push without being able to see what the display is telling me - for example, do you push the 4 number keys, and then a key to enter ( and what would that enter key be )?

2) I'm not sure what the code is for my stereo - where can I find it? Or can the dealers get me the info?

cant help the first bit but if you pop the hu out make a note of the model and serial numbers post them in the dedicated radio codes section make a donation and im sure daveren will get back to you with the code

I think I found the code ( 1602 )

And I think I can enter it OK - it seems the number buttons activate the 4 digits needed.

So if I press button '1' - it will enter the first number of the code. As example - if I press it three times it will input '3' for the first number.

I then press the button '2' to enter the second digit and so on.

So I managed to enter all the numbers. Then nothing. The radio does NOT spring into life.

Do I have to press an additional button to ' enter ' the code

Not sure of the make - it's one of the built in ones.

Now - as I said above one of my problems is I have a duff display...it only shows part of the word / number on the LCD.

But there seems to be just enough showing to allow me to see what is up there. And as I said I think I can input the code.

However - I just noticed when I turn the stereo on a ( part ) word is displayed,
which looks like it says " SAFE ".

Does this mean anything....I would expect it to say " CODE "...someone suggested it may mean that it has to be left for 24 hours before you can try to input the code.

Any thoughts

If it's the standard Brava/o radio, you need to press the "TP" button for about 3 seconds after entering the code.
