Hi, I have a Yellow Fiat Bravo 1.6 HLX, which currently undergoing a transformation from neglection to "like new". Virtually every part I can replace has or is going to be:

New:-

Rear Shocks,
Rear Springs, (standard height)
Exhaust,
Front Shocks,
Front Springs, (standard height)
Front Wishbones,
Front Droplinks,
Discs, Drums, Pads, Shoes,
Door Handles
Front Marea 20v Headlamps

Either original or pattern parts as above.

Engine has been given a full service, all lubricants, brake fluid, coolant replaced and renewed.

Modifications include bonnet struts, aero wipers (26" Drivers 20" Passengers)

Car drives like new really - with just 58k on the clock.

I'm now after some finishing touches. I can easily get hold of the new Bravo badge for the rear, but I'm after a new original Bravo HLX rear badge. Anyone have any idea where I might get one of these from?

I might also get some new door and rear panel side mouldings - if available. Again, anyone have any idea on where to go?

On both parts, I've tried Ebay, Shop4Parts, and even Fiat Direct - no luck.

Will post photos of completed car once finished. The idea being this car will look as close to the original factory release as possible - like a new car, with just one or two subtle changes for the better (like the Marea headlamps).

Im surprised fiat dont have any,

I see them on ebay from time to time, you should save a search there and eBay will mail you automaticaly. There was also a "Bravo_GT" badge and "Bravissimo" badge that fiat made.

Partsworld UK would be worth a try. If i spot any for sale ill let you know

I like your approach to the car (y) cant wait to see your pictures and updates on that.

Well at last an update on the Bravo.

Everything you can think of has been replaced for new genuine, or pattern.

Cambelt was completed on Friday, and the cars now being used daily.

Gonna get some pics up tomorrow. But it's certainly raising a few admiring glances. In fact whilst visiting my mechanic in basildon, I was told by the mechanic, he was offered 1500 for the car there and then, by a local dealer. The dealer stating that yellow was a modern colour!

IT'S NOT FOR SALE!

Couple of interesting points whilst refurbing and replacing parts which might come in handy for anyone else who's thinking of doing similar.

1. Knocking from rear - almost certainly the rear seat latches. I spent weeks trying to locate the knocking noise. And just a bit of thick tape around the latch "bar" fixed it.

2. Exhaust mountings - having the had the full exhaust replaced, and new rubber hangers, I found they perished very quickly. Just seems that the aftermarket rubbers aren't up to the job. Best bet is always genuine Fiat mountings.

3. Rear wiper (with boot spoiler) - weird one this, my standard boot spoiler and rear wiper seemed to be connecting and twelve oclock. Almost seemed like the wiper was too long, which it wasn't of course. In the end after faffing around with it I replaced the whole wiper arm & blade assembly with a Fiat 500 one. It's about and inch shorter, but does a good job still. Plus the actual arm has a slightly chunkier feel to it.
