Not having much luck as a new Bravo owner. Just paid out over £1,000 for repairs to engine after the cambelt broke now someone has broken into my car via the boot ( nothing taken as it was empty ) They have made a right mess of the tailgate handle. The local Fiat dealership say it needs a new handle which luckily is only £6 but it will cost £30 to fit it and £50 to spray it but also £700 for a new locking system as they said they could not just fit one lock it all has to be changed, I thought this was to much, can it be done cheaper?

I wouldnt bother with the lock, just use the boot release from the front. get them to fill the hole where the lock should be and spray over it.

If they do need to change the locks then yes it would be about £700.

It's only tidgy, spray and fit it yourself and save £80

yeah, and just get a lock from the scrappies. It's not linked to the immobiliser system or anything and won't make a difference
