Hello there and happy new year to all members!

I'd like to build in seat heaters in my '99 Brava 1.4SX car. Which electric point is best for connecting the heater element? The car has no standard seat heater plug under the steering wheel. The heater element has no controls, does not switch off automatically and has a cigarette lighter plug for now (with 5A fuse). With the help of the delayed switch off circuit (see attachment) and a one position knob it'd switch itself off after about 20 mins. It would be absolute fine if the heaters could be switched on only after ignition.
I think the cigarette lighter circuit would be fine as power source for the heater element. If I succeed I will upgrade the other frons seat as well.

Thank you in advance!

It would be much cheaper and easier to fit Waeco heating elements. Thats what I did when my original heating elements failed.

Total cost was around £39.99.

Also for your information the car wont have anything to do with the heated seats under the steering wheel unless you the mean fuse box area.

Some cars have the heated seats cabling already installed, you need to have a good look for it. If not the cigarette lighter would be fine.
