Changed my spark plugs, later found out a cracked HT lead was causing it to occasionally misfire, no problem got a new set of those fitted. That was monday, has run fine up untill today coming back from the dentist. Its started too misfire and judder alot. First thing i did was check the leads are on both ends properly, which they were. Disconnected the battery to reset the ECU, just went outside connected it back up and turned it on, sounds rough as hell, through the exhaust aswell, let it run for about 10 mins, didnt change at all apart from the revs dropped to the normal 800rpm, turned it off and started it up again and sounded exactly the same. Revved it up to about 4K and past about 1.5K-2K revs it sounds and seems fine but below its rough as hell.

Any suggestions?

Fuel filter ???

Cant be changed in any way easily as its built into the pump

We have had crap weather here for the last few days and when the damp gets in it causes the car to run dreadfully (I have no engine cover or factory intake to make it worse) so I would look for signs of condensation around the coil pack and plug bores. Also check that the plugs are properly tightened in as they have a tendancy to loosen if not tightened properly. Poor petrol will give these symptoms too

Mine has no engine cover on either but has factory intake. Ill have a look tomorrow and take the plugs out again when i borrow someones socket again, mine doesnt fit down the bore. It had £20s worth of Shells regular unleaded, fuelsave, on monday and £10 regular from BP this morning.

a shot in the dark but have you tried testing the coil pack / s had this prob with mine. caused all sorts of probs with low revs stuttering etc.
also there should be a fuel filter under the car roughly about the front of the rear drivers arch. usually hidden by bracket and body moulding this is prone to corrosion where it meets the bracket holding it and usually shows by a faint smell of petrol near the filler.
hope this helps.
