I am thinking of removing this box and replacing it with a pipe. I. Have a 5" back box on my bravo but it sounds no differnt from a stock box. So. Am wondering if removing this box will make it nice and loud. So my question is has anyone done this before and if so how loud will it be and will it affect the car in a bad way?

I used to drive round with a letterbox style backbox till the joining pipe rotted and fell off. It made no difference to the noise level, slightly different tone from the exhaust but no louder. If its noise your after, on the same car I had a full home made straight thru exhaust atached to a home made de cat. Loud and quick

Do you think a cat back exhaust would be loud mate I really don't wanna go down the de cat route unless I 100% have to lol. Nice back end by the way lol.

Yes a cat back setup will not only create a bit more noise but give you a bit more top end power (only 2-3 bhp but it all counts). Try go for a 2 and 3/4 inch pipe, 3 inch is a wee bit too big imho
