(T) Ticking sound.

Was waiting outside a friends house and quite aloud ticking sound started, not heard it before, was loud enough to be heard of the engine noise on idle with all doors/windows etc shut. When i got back i listened again and it was getting slower then faster. Any ideas on what its likely to be? Ill try and get a video of the sound tomorrow if it helps.

have you checked your oil level ??? may be lack of.

Got plenty of oil, topped it up yesterday.

Hydralic lifters maybe be clogged get some of that wynns stuff that might help.

Does any of that fuel/oil additives stuff actually work? Never tried them and think they are abit of a scam unless they do work properly.

I found out what is was, it was doing it with just the ignition on and was coming from the scuttle panel, tried the wipers and it stopped ticking and the wipers still work fine.

you will find the wiper mechanism is starting to seise in that case and in the parked position it might just be stuck touching the park contacts and trying to park making the motor tick if it does it again get out and just try to push the wipers a bit thurther down see if it stops it if does you might need to lubricate it all a little
