hi i have a fiat bravo 1.2 and the problem which i have got with it is when i push down on the accellerator it really hesitates and judders slightly, then it will sort of find itself and drive normally for a short while until i give it more gas. i havnt a clue what this could be and any help would be great

MAP sensor or its pipe.

If the ECU is not getting the signal for the change in pressure it won't alter the fuelling accordingly.

Does the car accelerate smoothly if the throttle is very gently increased?

Cheers

no it happens wether i accellerate harshly or smoothly.

cheers

certainly related to a fast acting sensor ignore lambda and other map related things like coolant temp air temp

map sensor sounds about right try take it out and check it's not blocked or fouled with oil if it's on the end of a pipe check for splits and again blocage i can't quite remember were mine was there is a feed voltage of 5 volts a reference earth and a signal wire ranging from .5 to 4.5 volts within range from vacuum to atmostheric 3 pins in all

when unplugged you should find earth and two 5 volts as the signal will shoot to 5 when unplugged and not conected to the ecu

if the timing is out affecting the corolation between crank and phase sensors it just brings up a fault and doesent affect engine running the injection times are run from the crank sensor the phase just gives it witch cylinder

it could be affected buy the throttle position sensor

other things to look at are fuel presure or blocages in the fuel circuit will certainly cause this maybe a pipe crushed under the car

or getting to the nitty gritty any electrical problems with ignition injectors or other items hence i gave you the voltages for map

make sure the injectors and coils have voltage when there running

Hi all new to this forum, thought i'd put a post on about an hour ago, but can find it now lol!! so better luck this time, here goes....

My Brava 1.9td has started suddenly cuttings out and dies while i'm driving along, not a fuel problem as doesnt stutter, just completly cuts out, cant put hazards on as no power at all, usually happens when i put my foot down, could it be something to do with the turbo? does start again after a few minutes.

any one have any ideas what it could be?

thanks in advance :)
