Posts: 81 Thanks: 3 Trader Rating: 0 | Itb's Hi! Gona get straight to it, I have 4 bravo 80 cable throttle bodies, I can get a diesel alternator for the vaccum servo, I can make the plate for them to sit on (I'm planning to use the metal part of the intake and make a scoop in the bonnet ) link them all up etc, can i run them on my car without too much hassle? In terms of will I have to go down the route of a new ecm? Remapping is not a problem. I don't want to run the car without the sensors in the manifold if I can help it...Any help is appreciated!!

For the moment, the car has to be sorted for its nct, then when it has it ill start on the itb's

But for the moment that other idea is out the window.... Anyone need throttle bodies or stepper motors? I have 2 of each to sell on! Someday i'll put another post up on this thread!!

| | Re: Itb's it wouldn't have worked anyway. you're trying to fit 4 tb's, each designed to fed air to 4 cylinders. they would be too big and you'd just lose power and torque. if u look at a set of proper ITB's, ie weber, jenvey, oem fitments, etc you'll notice they're much smaller in diameter. the diameter, and length, is crucial and needs to be calculated to specific engine perameters. fitting bike tb's isn't the best solution for this reason, as they're not the correct diameter for the new application, how length can easily be adjusted by changing the inlet trumpets. on a road car you would be far better off [slightly] increasing the diameter of your existing single tb to allow it to flow a little more air and team it up with revised induction, exhaust and a suitable remap. | ||
