Re: Bravo wiper fuse?

Hi there, I have a brava but should be the same. According to my haynes manual the fuse for the wiper system is F14. Its location is next to the steering wheel and is the second one down on the left hand side and is 20A. Hope this helps.

Re: Bravo wiper fuse?

there are 2 blocks of fuses under plastic cages just beneath the steering wheel, the second one down on mine is not being used, the 3rd is a 15 amp,but this one has not blown.
the main fuse box is further down but all these fuses look ok, i think she had left the wipers in the on position, when she tried to start the car the following morning they were frozen to the window thats why i think it has blown the fuse,i hope it hasn't burnt the motor out if it isn't the fuse.

thanks for looking in your manual !!!

Re: Bravo wiper fuse?

Hi there, I was refering to the bottom fuse box. My car also has the two cage type fuse boxes, no reference anywhere I can find as to what these are! It is always worth pulling the fuses out even if they dont look blown because sometimes with the higher current the fuse contacts oxidise in their sockets. Check the legs of the fuse and also the holder. I will have a look in my Brava tomorrow and get closer to the culprit for you. Just out of interest when the ignition is switched off it cuts power to the wipers anyway even the return live so it should not have damaged the motor. Does the headlight washer work as these are the same fuse? Cheers for now.

Re: Bravo wiper fuse?

Hi, Have checked my Brava, and it is indeed a 20A fuse, but my haynes shows the fuse box upside down! The fuse you require is the middle one at the right hand end of the fuse box. I removed mine whilst the wipers were running and they did indeed stop. Hope this helps.
