hi, need some help with this please *totally baffled*
1998, Bravo, 1.4
I changed the fuel filter , air filter , and plugs now the car wont start?
fuel in the lines and in the filter, there is fuel in the line attached to the carb, there is a spark, BUT NOT SURE IF FUEL IS ENTERING THE CARB ?
car was all fine before i changed the bits mentioned.

Hi, thanks for the response,
yes the fuel filter is in the correct way, ive even swaped back to the old filter as i new this was working before.
tried the fuel cutoff.
does the fuel pump make an audible sound when the key is turned ?
thanks

not hearing anything at thr rear of the car when the key is turned, only noises from the engine area,
im starting to think it could be fuse related as i removed the fuse for the petrol pump to de-pressurise the fuel system, ill look at the contacts tommorow they may just need a clean (fingers crossed ).

Take of fuel line at injector, start car and see if fuel is leaking. Or try starting, then take out spark plug, and see if it gets wet. Maybe you've mixed spark-plug-cables?

thanks guys tried fuel cutoff, leads are ok, changed plugs one at a time.
think its fuel pump related, gonna check fueses and relays and wiring today, will update later.

Sucsess!:) the problem was a corroded fuse holder ( the one for the fuel pump)
thanks for all the responses.
i now have a further problem to do with the revs.
it s like someone is dabbibg on and off the throttle.
gonna start a new thread for this
