1. The engine sometimes takes along time to turn over when the engine is hot, it has a new battery and starts better in the bitter cold than when the engine is hot, had a quick search and someone said they changed the injectors and that sorted it, is that likely to be whats at fault?

2. Last week when i started my car i could hear what sounded like water trickling somewhere under the bonnet, it was quite loud, thought it might have been a bottle in my car but it did it twice today and its definately under the bonnet, when it first did it i checked all of the levels and they are all exactly the same, it only does it when it starts from cold.

3. Recently the sunroof has started rattling when i go above 40mph, had another friend in the car today and he had a quick feel around and it turns out to be a thin metal rod that is between the sunroof and the cover, what is it and why has it started rattling suddenly?

Thanks.

When warm, try starting the car normally, before it starts whip a plug out and check whether its wet or not.

Dry plug would suggest lack of fuel.

There are other possible reasons, like incorrect temp readings.

If the coolant levels are correct, has the engine been bled and is the coolant fresh enough to cope with current conditions (assuming you live in somewhere currently very cold)?

Cheers

Ill try that in a day or two.

I honestly have no idea, going to service it soon so i will do a full flush, i think the coolant is alright tho because the engine gets up to temperature pretty quick when driving and it never over heats or even gets hot enough for the fan to kick in. Its not that cold here, just in the minuses i think so not that cold compared to the rest of the country.

How old are the plugs, are they the gapable type if so they may need cleaning and re gapping or new plugs.
You could have the early signs of a coil problem, or it may be and engine managment sensor on the blink, what does your engine temp read when it refuses to start stright away, is it on the cool side, if it is then maybe you are over fueling as the ECU thinks the engine needs some for want of a better expression "some Choke" i.e richer fuel.
or you could be VERY Hot in which case the fuel is evaporating before start up so it need more cranks before there is enough fuel, this is a bad sign as you are too hot and you have a cooling problem, I use to get a "running water" sound from behind the dash, which meant I was low on water in the days of my head gasket leak, so check your water mine had air in the system yet the level looked fine, I think it is the coolant being pumped around the engine when you start it up, perhaps you should try and bleed it, see what happens, when you take this car to get the engine hot! do you have heat inside it from the heater, also how long have you had this car, is this 'new behaviour' for it, are you pumping the throttle as you start it, from cold this would be ok from hot it could flood it:eek:

I have the same problem, with the starting, and i know i have an air lock in the coolant, just finding it difficult to get it out.
