Right where to start???
I have done a service new plugs, air filter oil filter and oil.
Been having problems with the engine management light coming on.
Figured it may have been because the exhaust was blowing around by the lambda.
Have had the exhaust fixed still doing it.
Replaced lambda this morning still doing it.
Disconnected battery for a couple of hours to reset ecu (hopefully)
Just took it for a test drive but within 200 yards light on again.
Also added some injector cleaner this morning just in case.

Any theories or next steps to take?
Should also mention fuel consumption is high and the engine takes ages to show normal running temp but if you spped up it goes back to showing cold.
Is the thermostat likely to cause the management light to come on?
I bought a scanner off ebay which is an obd2 type and also got an obd2 to fiat 3 pin adapter but it says error connecting so that's not much use.
Nearest fiat dealer is about 20 miles away.
Starting to get annoyed with it now lol.

Hi,

If it the light that looks like a spark plug and some spay I did read on here that this is to do with you injectors. As for your tester I believe the 2 types of connectors use a different language so a adaptor will not make a differance to it working. If the garage you take it to is a fiat main dealer garage I was quoted by them to connect it to there tester would be £70 but I tryed an independent garage and they had 1 which fitted and they tested it for free other garages I have heard of them charging £10 to test which seems a lot more reasonable.

Hope this helps.

That is the light that comes on but I have read that it is a general engine management light???

The management system does look at engine temperature to get the fuel mix right. If the ECU is getting mixed info on temperature it will put the light on.

Sort the overcooling problem (thermostat) and go from there.

Cheers
