Hello everyone might be getting a hold of 1997 Bravo Diesel however this car may need head gasket. Now I have replaced them before but not on a Euro car spec I'm from states and drive american cars however anything in particluar that I can trouble shoot before determining its head gasket? Now I also don't know if that is the problem actually looking at car later today I think so I can put more info up as I see fit. I also need to locate the best place to buy parts online that is seeing I'm from Italy at the moment and most of you guys seem to be outside the area for this matter. Anyone able to answer these questions that be great thanks.

Do you or anyone on here know where I can buy a Valve Cover Gasket for a 1.9 Turbo Diesel Bravo

How do you like your TD and where might you have found after market parts for it to upgrade if you have?

I like it a lot, even the turbo lag :) . Aftermarket parts ? any mechanical replaceable parts come from dealers/motor factors, any unobtainable/expensive parts come from scrap yards. mechanical upgrades don't really exist (for diesels anyway), any I've done are custom..

What exactly do you mean by Turbo Lag? I don't seem to have that issue I dont think lol, well I guess I will have to look around junk yards and maybe check into some things at the Fiat Dealer. Just thought maybe I could increase the HP on my diesel or chip it.

Also was thinking where I could get custom seats maybe and or lighting supplies like new taillights perhaps? You know your basic interior and exterior dress up, do you know of a air breather as well maybe or all this still come from junk yards and dealer?

Stylers,
I see you may be from Italy? well can you point me in the direction of the best Fiat Dealer around gricignano, if that is the correct spelling? Thanks man!

not quite, thats an Irish flag on my info panel :) . some day I'll get over there though !. If you have the owners manual / handbook, there is a whole list of dealerships for every country, and Italy is just chock full of them of course.

Re air breathers, the best one is actually the one that came with the car, complete with the cold air intake duct over the radiator. Just make sure the filter element is replaced if it looks dirty. The big philips head screws on the filter need the correct size screwdriver, and if they are seized, use some WD40 to try to free them up. try to spray it so it will get to the brass inserts at the bottom of the housing. Often these screws result in the filter being neglected.

for lights and other aesthetic improvements, most of these things are to be found on ebay, or modification specialist websites and magazines, but its difficult to improve on perfection :D . Lexus rear lights are a definite no-no.

As for custom seats, well alfa 147 leather seats will fit, or recaro's etc with a custom made frame. I doubt there is a bolt-in custom seat available.

No mistakes of the flag trust me on that I just mis read your message thinking that you knew of places in italy because you were here, thanks for that info though that may help I of course do find it pretty tough trying to find parts for this car if it in fact I was going to do anything to it. I guess I will just maintain the mechanics of the car and not really worry about doing any after market installs since I really will only have the car for maybe two years or so because then will be heading some place else most likly back to states. Thanks.
