Posts: 84 Thanks: 2 Trader Rating: 0 | Cam belt gone 105JTD on 130,000 mls was sweet as a nut until..... broken cambelt. Valves 1,4,5 & 8 bent. Cam pulley key sheared - though I'm not sure what this key should look like - is it cast into the pulley or loose? Can't get tappets 4,5 & 8 out of the head. The valve stems have slightly buckled them up & cracked them when the pistons hit. I can rotate them by tapping with a drift, but can't pull them out. Any ideas on how to get these out? What's the likelihood of piston (they look OK & bores are beautiful even with honing marks still on them) or possibly crank bearing damage. Is this beginning to sound like a lost cause?
